Student Loans

Cover your university education expenses with a Student Loan from Antilles Credit Union. The Student Loan covers the cost for tuition, books, school fees and other expenses that are not covered by GATE.

Student Loan Requirements:

• Applicant must be a member of the Society for at least six (6) months
• Members must be in good standing and accounts must not be in arrears or have delinquent payments for a period of six (6) months
• Security/Collateral – 1.5% of unpledged Shares or something of equal value to the total cost of tuition
• Interest on Student Loans – 1% on the reducing balance, waived until 3 months after completion of studies
• Institution must provide confirmation of completion of studies
• Yearly transcripts to support the disbursement of funds annual
• Terms and conditions of repayment considered on a case by case basis upon approval by the Credit Committee

Student Loan Criteria:

• A valid form of Identification (National Identification Card, Driver’s Permit or Passport)
• Recent Utility Bill – no older than 3 months
• Acceptance letter from tertiary education institution
• Statement of fees from tertiary education institution (with outstanding balance – if not first year of study)
• Supporting documentation may be required to complete the application
